Buona sera, bloggers e lettori! Ci sono, non sono sparita! Ho passato questa settimana e mezza in una follia librosa che mi ha portato a proseguire il mio romanzo d'esordio, che spero leggerete il prossimo anno quando verrà pubblicato su Amazon. Domani mi laureerò, perciò il blog rimarrà inattivo tutto il giorno.

PREMESSA
Questo libro era fucking amazing! Avevo proprio bisogno di una lettura frizzante, erotica e spumeggiante come questa. Madison e Luke vi appassioneranno e vi faranno riscoprire l'amore e le seconde possibilità che la vita ci presenta quando meno ce l'aspettiamo.

TRAMA (da Goodreads)
Fresca di divorzio dal una star hollywoodiana, Madison Atwood ha bisogno di una via di fuga. Con i paparazzi alle costole e la sua gettata in bella vista su tutti i tabloid, decide di scappare in una sede termale nel nord della California. Avalon Springs è il porto di montagna sicuro che lei andava cercando, e di cui aveva bisogno per trovare di nuovo se stessa.

Luke Dawson vive tagliato fuori dalla modernità, preferendo la solitudine alla società. Quando trova una bellissima donna nelle fonti termali della sua proprietà, non riesce a fare a meno di guardarla. RECENSIONE
Non ho mai letto Meredith Wild e Chelle Bliss prima d'ora, ma vi assicuro che queste scrittrici sono grandiose! Una storia a quattro mani frizzante che rassicura le persone deluse dall'amore che c'è ancora speranza, c'è la luce in fondo al tunnel, basta solo aspettare e gettarsi a capofitto in nuove avventure che magari all'inizio non ci piaceranno, ma finiranno con essere le maggiori responsabili della nostra felicità attuale.

Madison Atwood aveva tutto dalla vita: un uomo ricco, un matrimonio in vista, una famiglia che avrebbe potuto finalmente definire "sua". Quando i tabloid misero su piazza il tradimento di Jeremy con una delle sue starlette, il suo mondo è finito in mille pezzi. Per fuggire ai paparazzi, decide di andare nel Nord della California nell'Avalon Resort, ma sin dall'inizio rifiuta ogni contatto con altre persone. Il bisogno di Madison di stare da sola coincide con il suo bisogno di fuga, e una sera, proprio assecondando quel bisogno, trova le terme calde dove si immerge e dove si da piacere. Lì scopre di esser stata osservata per tutto il tempo da Luke Dawson, un uomo misterioso e altamente sexy.

I giorni passano, e Madison non riesce a smettere di pensare a Luke; tanto che si getta tra le sue braccia chiedendogli di fare sesso con lei. Luke, sentendo la mancanza di una donna dopo aver passato anni a vivere recluso alle pendici del monte, decide di lasciarsi andare e inizia una relazione sessuale e spensierata con Madison. Luke ha fatto parte dei Navy Seals e porta ancora nel cuore e nell'animo il dolore delle azioni che ha dovuto compiere per la sua patria. E' un uomo molto complicato, duro, ruvido quasi ma che nasconde un lato tenero e premuroso. Madison, con lui inizia a rinascere dalle sue ceneri e torna ad essere la spensierata ragazza che era prima che Jeremy la distruggesse. Finalmente ha ritrovato la sua serenità, e dopo aver capito di essere innamorata di Luke, non vorrebbe mai più andarsene dal resort di Avalon.

Ma un evento spiacevole e inaspettato la costringerà a tornare nel traffico e nella vita frenetica di Los Angeles, la madre del suo ex marito è in fin di vita e lei, a malincuore, dovrà terminare prima del previsto la sua vacanza. Cosa succederà, ora che sia lei che Luke si sono aperti completamente l'uno all'altra? Lo taglierà fuori dalla sua vita e continuerà la sua carriera di make up artist pur sentendosi vuota e infelice? Lo scoprirete solo leggendo il romanzo.

"Misadventures of a city girl" è il primo romanzo di una serie di romanzi stand alone scritti dalle penne più famose d'America, ognuno dei quali tratta un tema diverso e un argomento ancor più diverso, ma che hanno sempre come tema centrale l'amore.

PREMISE
I've never been so happy in my life like when I have been approved on Netgalley by Waterhouse Press to review their books. I love them! This book is so hot, like his main character, and it puts you in the mood to reflect about what matter the most in your life: love or fame?

SYNOPSIS

REVIEW
"Misadventures of a city girl" it's the first book of the Misadventures series. I loved the characters in this book, they were very well developed and it wasn't so full of chliché as it may seem to reader that aren't acquainted with romances.

Madison Atwood has recently divorced from his famous ex husband, who has betrayed her for another woman. Deceptioned and sad, she decides to take a week off in the mountain area of Los Angeles. There she will meet Luke Dawson, a super hot boy, that made me sweat while I was reading, because of his sexiness. Seriously, I think that american writers have a thing for such sexy men, because every time I read an USA novel, I'm sure I will find one sexy character. Not that I'm complaining about it, I love them! But Luke was in the Marine, and when his duty to serve his country endend, he felt like he didn't fit the norma world anymore, so he decided to isolate himself from the outside world. The truth is, Luke had lost many friends during his years in the Navy SEALS, that he suffered from PSTD. This is the main reason why he decided to isolate himself from the world in which everyone lives in. But when he surprises Madison giving herself pleasure on the rocks outside the springs near his house, everything changes for him.

She's always rushing. Running headfirst into situations she hasn't thought. (...) She's all passion and no goddamn sense.
