Buona sera, bloggers e lettori! Da quando è iniziato il tempo uggioso, il mio umore è peggiorato radicalmente, a ciò vanno unite alcune cose di cui non posso parlare ma che mi hanno influenzato negativamente... perciò anche se ho finito molte settimane fa di leggere questo romanzo, ho avuto bisogno di tempo per riprendermi dalle brutte avventure che mi sono successe. "Beast" è un romanzo originale, un retelling piccante che sono sicura piacerà a molte di voi <3 Buona lettura!

PREMESSA
Quando vidi la cover di questo romanzo su Booksprout.co (sito dove i lettori e blogger possono scaricarsi i romanzi da recensire, entro un tot di tempo deciso dall'autore - è un sito che gli autori possono usare a scopo promozionale, un po' come Bookfunnel) me ne sono sentita subito attratta. Come vi dicevo, il romanzo è un retelling molto hot di una favola che tutte abbiamo amato da piccole: La Bella e la Bestia. Diciamo che vorrei più retelling di questo tipo, perché mi è piaciuto un casino.

Quando il padre di Ellie viene sequestrato da un gruppo di malviventi che voglio ucciderlo per saldare il suo debito con loro, non è una sorpresa il fatto che lei finisca nella tana del leone. Dopo tutto, Ellie Stevens è sempre stata la protettrice di suo padre, da quanto ricorda.

Tuttavia, Ashland Titon non è un uomo caritatevole. Se sei in debito, devi pagare. Fine della storia. Attraverso il suo sprezzante controllo, ha costruito il suo impero e non è pronto per lasciar andare quel potere adesso. Ma quando Ellie piomba nella sua vita con i suoi ordini e le possibilità di una dolce arresa, la sua offerta risulta una tentazione troppo grande a cui rinunciare.

Mentre i due danzano a un ritmo erotico, forze esterne minacciano l'impero di Ashland ed Ellie deve decidere dove risiede il suo cuore - e cos'è disposta a rischiare per amore. 

RECENSIONE

Inizierò questa recensione intanto scusandomi di averla postata con così tanto ritardo, ma ci tengo a sottolineare per l'ennesima volta quanto mi sia piaciuto questo retelling. Autrici americane, se volete leggere due romanzi italiani, erotici, liberamente ispirati alla "Bella e la Bestia", vi consiglio di leggere "Lui vuole me" e "Lei vuole me" di Ava Lohan! Super consigliati!

Ellie Stevens è una ragazza coi piedi per terra che lavora duramente per ripagare i debiti di suo padre, ha due lavori e gestisce il Café di suo padre. Ma suo padre non sembra interessato nell'impegno che lei ci sta mettendo nel tentare di salvare il suo futuro, seguendo un corso al mese per college e rendendole quasi impossibile finire l'università in tempi ragionevoli. Quando due criminali lo cercano per via di un grosso debito fatto, lei incontra Ashland Titon e si vende a lui per salvare la vita di suo padre. Ma Ashland assomiglia così tanto alla Bestia (della Bella e la Bestia), che il suo soprannome è proprio Bestia e ha un'ala segreta del suo palazzo, vietata ad Ellie. Inutile dire che Ellie farà quanto è in suo potere per scoprire cosa Ashland le sta nascondendo, e non ve lo dirò, perché dovrete scoprirlo leggendo il romanzo. Proprio come la rosa morente della "Bella e la Bestia", questo segreto, una volta rivelato cambierà permanentemente le cose tra loro. Ashland è famoso per non avere un cuore, per essere senza pietà e per usare le donne fino a quando non si stufa di quella di turno per passare alla precedente, ma la verità è che Ellie lo aiuterà a trovare la sua 'umanità', proprio come Belle farà con il Principe Adam/La Bestia.

Il libro, devo ammetterlo, è così bollente che ha ispirato alcune scene piccanti del mio romanzo. Ma, a parte questo, questo romanzo è davvero indimenticabile e che si legge tutto d'un fiato, a cui ripensi anche se l'hai finito un mese fa. Ricordo ancora il buon cuore di Ellie, la sua lealtà e la sua testardaggine, e la piccantezza di Ashland, mischiata al suo modo di fare scontroso e bestiale. 

E' stato scritto dal POV di Ellie, e lo sviluppo dei personaggi è stato reso in modo così effettivo grazie alla bellissima scrittura dell'autrice. I personaggi sono semplici, dark e sono onesti sin dall'inizio per quanto riguarda lottare per le persone che amano, per le quali sono disposti a fare qualsiasi cosa. Vi raccomando caldamente questo romanzo che considero un retelling, non n mafia romance... per me questa è un retelling hot di una favola.

Questa è la mia richiesta per gli autori: scrivete di più retelling 'per adulti', l'ho amato e ne voglio ancora! Cavoli, questo romanzo è così piccante che non potevo più fare a meno di Ellie e Ash, e mi sto ancora chiedendo cosa succederà a loro dopo il finale, io speravo quasi che si sposassero o che Ellie rimanesse incinta.

Hi, sweeties! This time I’m reviewing a book I found on Booksprout.co some time ago, and it drawn me since I saw its beautiful cover. I must say, the cover deceive the readers a little, because the character isn’t like that on the book. Said that, let’s begin with the premise! Hope you like my review! 

PREMISE
I’ve never read before a book from Measha Stone, but I should have done it before. I loved it! I love her writing skills and the way she attracts the reader to her characters. Ellie and Ash were unforgettable, on my part. Rarely I’ve found a retelling so hot like this, and it’s one of the main reasons I gave four stars. So, dear writers, write more hot retellings and readers *points at herself* will be even more happier!

REVIEW
I will begin this review, and I must say that I’m sorry writing it so late, saying that this is the hottest retelling of “the Beauty and The Beast” I’ve ever read, after “Lui vuole me” and “Lei vuole me” by Italian author Ava Lohan. So, my dream American friends, if you read in Italian I recommend you Ava Lohan!

Ellie Stevens is a down-to-earth girl who works hard to pay off her dad’s gambling debts, she has two jobs and runs his father’s Café. But his father not only isn’t interested in the effort she’s putting in trying to save her future, by following only a course per month and making it soooo long to finish her university and get that degree. When two thugs come after her father for a high debt that her father has done, she meets Ashland Titon. Ashland is a super hottie, has a lot of money, but has no heart, and above all, he is the one criminal Ellie’s father has a debt with: a mafia boss so hot, he’ll melt your panties. The price is so high, that Ellie, in order to save him, has to sell herself. But Ashland is so much the Beast alike, he’s named after it and he has a secret wing of his luxurious headquarter that is forbidden to Ellie. Needless to say, Ellie will do what she can to discover what Ashland is keeping from her, and I won’t say that to you, because you have to discover it. Just like the dying rose from “The Beauty and The Beast”, this secret, once discovered will change permanently things between them. Ashland is known for have no heart, and for using girls until he gets tired and search for another one, but the truth is that Ellie will help him find his ‘humanity’ just like Belle will do with Prince Adam/The Beast.

The book is so steamy, that I have to say it, it has inspired me some sexy scenes to write in my book! But, apart from that, this book is really unforgettable and page-turner, it’s something you’ll think of even if you’ve finished a month ago. I still remember Ellie’s good heart, loyalty and stubbornness and Ashland hotness, grumpiness and bestiality.

The book was all written by Ellie’s POV, the developing of the characters so effectively rendered by the author gorgeous writing. These characters are simply beautiful yet dark, they wore they heart on their sleeve for their beloved ones, and will do everything they can to protect each other. I highly recommend this book, as I consider this not a mafia romance, but a hot, man… super hot retelling of that fairy tale.

So this is my request: authors, write more of this retelling ‘for adults’, I loved it and I want more! Gosh, this novel is so spicy I couldn’t get enough of Ellie and Ash, and still, I’m wondering what would happen to them after the ending. I kinda hoped they married or Ellie got pregnant.
