PREMESSA
Charlie St. James è off limits.
It was as though the earth had shifted right under my feet. Everything around me was the same, but something intrinsic had changed. I just didn’t understand what.(Liam Walsh)
It wasn’t that I didn’t want to help my family. I wanted to, I tried. But living my father’s life wasn’t all that I wanted for my own. I had my own dreams. My own goals. He was stubborn enough that he didn’t want to bend, and I was stubborn enough that I’d never ask for help.
(Liam Walsh)
With his eyes on me and the memory of the orgasm still dancing along my skin it was almost too much.I was too close to asking him to stay.Too close to taking another kiss.Too close to wondering what I’d feel like to have his hands bring me to the edge instead of my own.(Charlie St. James)
“The only thing in my life that seemed to be going right was her… And I didn’t want to lose her.”

Hi, sweeties! It took me two and half days to write down the quotes from this AMAZING book, and I simply decided to do it because it was worth, I mean, this book it’s really worthy. You will love it!
PREMISE
After a bad period, I decided to take a pause and start reviewing, later, all the books that I have in my Kindle and that I still haven’t read. This book was sent me by a literary PR that right now I don’t remember, and I adored it so much, that I will buy the other two books from this great author: “Frenemies” and “Friends with benefits”. I hope you like my review! :*
SYNOPSIS (FROM GOODREADS)
Liam Walsh is just a roommate.
Maybe if Charlie St. James repeats it enough, she'll stop lusting after him. Not that it matters how she feels anyway, because Liam will always see her as one of the boys. Hell, he's the one who gave her the nickname Charlie as a joke.
Well, the joke's on her.
Now that she is confined to less than 1,000 square feet with him, she can't stop thinking about how it would feel to get just a little bit closer.
Charlie St. James is off limits.
She's been Liam Walsh's best friend since grade school. He thought it wouldn't be a big deal to let her crash with him when she needed a place to stay, but he was dead wrong. Knowing only a thin wall separates them when they sleep, that she's naked in the shower while he lays in bed fantasizing about her, is unbearable.
When their cozy two bedroom goes from friend zone to war zone, they'll either burn up the sheets or go down in flames.
REVIEW
This book has really been a rollercoaster with some hot, steamy moments between the main characters. It is based on this main premise: what will happen if a kiss change everything? What would happen if you realized you’ve always been in love with your best friend, but you were too busy to accept it?
Charlie St. James and Liam Walsh have been best friend since childhood, and now they’re in college trying to meet the end while still having a social life. Charlie is a beautiful girl who struggles to find her perfect boyfriend, and she flees every time things with her and her once-time boyfriend become too serious. That’s why, at the beginning of “Friend Zone”, we see her trying to break up with Andrew, or, as Liam call him- ‘fuck-stain’. Her break up with him will be so bad, that will her in pieces, and Liam will be the only one able to heal her wounds. One kiss. It was one kiss that Liam gave Charlie that changed everything. From that moment on, they won’t able to look at each other the same way.
As the story develops, they try to deny their feelings. But it won’t pass much time, before they will have to face the truth: they are falling for each other and there’s no turning back from that point. Liam will face his problems with his iper-controlling and demanding father, who think it’s useless for him to apply to various universities of the States in order to get the chance to study veterinary.
On the other hand, we see Charlie discover who her real mother is and get in touch with a whole new family. The way she forgives April, though, seemed too rushed for me.
Charlie and Liam love story began as a physical one, and I mean very, very physical. Liam is one of those book boyfriends you wish could exist in real life. Where Liam is stubborn and headstrong, Charlie is caring and, I must say, a little unapologetic.
Structured with an alternate POV of both Liam and Charlie, the author allows the reader to get in touch with the character’s emotions and feelings. Needless to say, you will find yourself heated for those scenes and Gosh…for Liam’s complexity. I mean, not only his physical appearance, but his personality as well.
I loved this book so much, it gave me inspiration for something I will write in my own book. I won’t say anything else because it will be a spoiler, but this book is AWESOME! I advise you all to read it, and read and read it again! For the first time in my life, and in my bloggering career, I think I will read it again in some weeks. Gosh, I’ve never fallen in love for a book like this since…since last year.
