PREMESSA
'Kiss Me' mi aveva attratta, da subito, per la sua copertina. Una copertina interessante, hot, e molto coerente col romanzo. Una cosa non scontata, considerato quante volte mi è successo di trovarne di non coerenti con la trama o con la storia, in generale. Se amate i forbidden con un tocco di dark romance e relazioni BDSM (in questo caso specifico, Dom/Sub), questo romanzo fa per voi! Ripensando a quando mi accanii contro la James perché odiai Anastasia Steele, mi viene da ridere. Ridere di me stessa, perché adesso questa sfumatura dell'erotico è diventata una delle mie preferite, se resa a dovere. Infatti, se resa a dovere, è davvero molto bella.

RECENSIONE
'Love The Way You Kiss Me' (ora conosciuto su Amazon come 'Kiss Me') non è un romanzo per tutti. Non è un romanzo per chiunque abbia uno stomaco leggero, perché vengono affrontati temi forti e pesanti. Molto, molto pesanti. Essi, tuttavia, sono resi in un modo magnifico attraverso tutto il libro, e per questo devo fare i miei più sinceri complimenti all'autrice.
Eleanor Burden è una ragazza ricca, nata nella ricchezza, sebbene quest'ultima l'abbia accolta non in un modo piacevole: la sua ricchezza, infatti, è direttamente collegata a un evento traumatico legato alla sua famiglia. Un evento traumatico che la segnerà per sempre, e che condizionerà per sempre la sua vita. L'unica cosa che sappiamo è che, questo evento, è che l'ha spinta sotto i riflettori della fama fin da piccolissima, quando la sua famiglia è stata distrutta. Non sappiamo cosa sia successo nel mezzo, cosa l'abbia spinta a richiedere una guardia del corpo 24h su 24. L'unica cosa che sappiamo è che questi traumi l'hanno resa la giovane donna che è adesso. Zander è un uomo tutto d'un pezzo: muscoloso, dark, sexy. Membro della The Firm, un'agenzia privata di sicurezza, il quale ha avuto un passato turbolento. Ma Zander non è quello che pensi. E' molto di più. E' il bad boy per il quale tutte tifiamo. E, sopra ogni cosa, ha Dom vibes.
Zander si sente subito attratto da Ella, e sebbene la chimica tra loro sia forte tanto quanto la loro attrazione, lui fa di tutto per evitarlo. Lui la desidera, sia carnalmente che romanticamente. I loro sentimenti si svilupperanno attraverso tutto il romanzo, arrivando fino al climax. Ma, sebbene avvenga ciò, continuiamo a non sapere cosa sia accaduto ad Ella e perché abbia bisogno di esser controllata giorno e notte. Per essere preservata da sé stessa.
Ho amato il modo in cui i personaggi sono stati resi - il loro modo tridimensionale, intenso, profondo. Il fatto che sia scritto in POV alternato, permette di entrare in empatia coi personaggi.

When I started reading ‘Love the way you kiss me’, I was entranced by its cover. I mean, it’s awesome! The blurb itself drawn me from the beginning, when I first saw this book on the literary pr’s main page. It reached my expectations, and went beyond it! Really, it was a long time since I’ve read a book so good and so interesting! Strongly advised for those who like dark themes, and also like a scorching hot forbidden romance. Five stars all the way!

‘Love the way you kiss me’ isn’t a novel for everyone, I have to make it clear. Strong themes are treated, though in a very subtle way – I didn’t fully understood what happened to Ella until the very last end, but I won’t spoil you anything. It’s a strong theme, and it’s very well rendered throughout the whole novel.
Eleanor Burden is an extremely rich girl born into wealth, well, she isn’t born into wealth the way we all expect her to be. It’s because of a traumatic event that pushed her directly into the limelight, making her life public when she was still a young girl, almost a baby girl and then her family got destroyed. We don’t know what happened in-between, all we know is that these events led her to be and to have the traumas she has nowadays. These traumas led her to be the woman she is right now. Zander it’s a super hot bodyguard, member of the Firm, a private security agency, and has a troubled past alike. Zander it’s not what you think. Or might think. He is charisma made man. He is, basically, the literary bad boy we will always root for. And he has, most importantly, Dom vibes.
Zander feels immediately drawn to Ella, he feels like this in a way he can’t explain, and although he’s trying to do his best to avoid it, he can’t deny it: he desires her, both carnally and romantically. Their feelings will develop thorought the whole novel, but still we don’t know what led Ella to do what she did. And why she needs to be guarded 24/7.
I love the way the characters were portrayed, for example, I liked Zander’s inner Dom and Ella’s advancement in her health – troubled advancements –. They were made and developed realistically, and the fact that each chapter – both written from the character’s POV – was preceded by an element of the Firm’s contract was a clever idea! It made the novel more realistic, more tangible to the reader. The fact, also, that the whole book is written in alternate POV, helps the reader to get in touch with the character’s feelings and emotions, and this makes him able to empathize with them.
I salute you with a quote from this book, which I advise you to read it as soon as you can, if you love forbidden dark romance with a hint of erotica – this, specifically, to the kink of Dom/Sub, a relationship well developed and rendered.
